This is a simple thing to do but for those of us with a two car garage I think it is very helpful. The bumper is so bulky and also easy to scratch that I needed to find a place to put it to keep it out of the way safely. I just put a couple of shelf supports with a length of 2 X 2 mounted to each that is long enough to cover the width of the bumper.
I also put a small shelf underneath for the taillights.
