for that to happen it would have to detach itself indepedently from the airbag cover front portion of the wheel. so unless there are two explosive charges involved, the only thing smacking you in the face would be the airbag itself although yes, you might then conceivably end up with your own personal porsche crest forehead stamp

I've tried both the very small and the mid sized Porsche decal/crest/sticker on my wheel. They do not stay on very well. I wanted to try something a little heavier and was advised that anything more than a decal would be a projectile into my face/head by the dealer.

I'm getting my wheel redone right now and was told the same thing when I asked for a metal emblem to be placed in the center of the airbag.

I've asked for him to embroider the logo instead.

Hope to have before after pictures soon.

i suppose the point about the emblem possibly coming off during an airbag deployment is valid. but having already had a 996tt airbag blow up in my face once about the last thing that i'd be concerned about would the stick on emblem

Very cool! Does the hub extend the wheel more then the stock position? I have the DCT but want the wheel closer to me! An extension is as much as your whole setup! Lol!

They do make a "spacer" for the extension you are looking for. I haven't installed my wheel yet so I do not know if the hub extends it further. Maybe one of the other guys would know.

Here is the spacer:

Wealth Manager,
Did you ever get this installed? Any update with pictures? Is this wheel similar / same as the one FVD sells? My friend had the FVD Daytona GT in his car and loved the feel, but always felt is was lacking something as the air bag is "plain" looking without any badges. I have Nautral Brown interior (natural steering wheel) and was thinking of switching it to a black one.

i'm not sure if it's extended "further" since (iirc?) our stock wheel extends a bit with that lever? but installing the raid wheel i've needed to adjust my seating position to compensate, so yes, it seems a bit extended from stock position maybe .5 in with the required hub.

i love this wheel it goes nicely with my tequipment bar and raiders colors car

per question above. it is the same as fvd sells. just much cheaper thru carnewal...and they give you a very tastefully done emblem logo, that isn't going to hurt if and when the bag deploys lol
