Back pressure question
Back pressure question
If you have an exhaust with no mufflers like I do, is it making enough backpressure or am I losing power?
Not sure because I had a debate with a guy last night and he said with the Muffler by pass system I have the car wont make enough back pressure
Is this guy a wing nut?
PHD? anyone?

Actually, no cars need back pressure. The reason some N/A cars lose power due to less backpressure is because they are not TUNED to benefit from the reduced backpressure. When you reduce backpressure significantly, cam timing and ignition timing has to be adjusted to benefit from the decreased backpressure.
With less backpressure, your Turbo's will spool faster and you should be able to sustain a higher level of boost.
