? - 1 piece center "horseshoe" removal
? - 1 piece center "horseshoe" removal
2004 996 turbo cab with PCM.
I've searched and read a number of posts and all of them refer to a 3 piece horseshoe where the side switch panels are seperate. I.ve been trying to find a DIY guide on how to remove the 1 piece horseshoe with no luck.
I've tried pulling on the bottoms to a point I thought would just about snap the thing in pieces. Ditto on the top.
It looks like there are 2 metal locking tabs at the top the need to be cleared before the horseshoe can pivot out and then (possible) be lifted out of tab locks on the bottom. I'm just speculating here but any help would be appreciated.

So I went thru the 996t tech manual and found:
91 10 19 Removing and installing display and operator control unit (PCM 2) - as of MY 2003
All it indicates is to use spatulas on the corners. I'll go back in and try again but I could have swore I tried that area last time.
