After looking at Fred & Endra's shots, I had this idea. Why not get a bunch of people together and hire a photographer like they did? Kind of a "group buy" picture. I know that I would love to have a shot of my car like Fred has chosen for his poster (any wives read these posts?).

Obviously this would work better in some places than others (not very feasible up here in Cow Hampshire). But, for you California or NY/NJ guys, it could be really cool.

Another thought, why not hire a photographer and/or a videographer for the Tale of the Dragon meet? With the number of people signed up, hiring a guy for the day wouldn't cost too much on a per person basis.

 

I WAS GOING TO SUGGEST THIS!!! Would be awesome to get some shots of the almost 20 cars going!!!! We are building a new house right now, and its a 4 car (2 and 2). One of the 2's will be my car and the Turbo cab, and my dad is letting me design that garage....I could use some pro shots of my car!!

Or is someone in the group that is coming have these talents? I hired a pro for an advertising session few years back, was around $1000.00

Great idea!!!! I suggest maybe contacting some editors from magazines about Photographers they use or refer. Who knows if they get one of their guys to go, they could then post those pics in their magazine as well.

I know that European Car and EuroTuner always highlight VW Events around the country.

Thats true, someone should call up a Mag. I mean we are gathering 20 Porsches (most are tuned Turbos) and driving one of the most famous roads in the East....sounds like a story I would read....Ken?? anyone but me??
