I'm thinking of selling my 02 996 turbo. Seal gray/supple black interior 6 speed with 22000 miles on it. Everything works on the car and it is in exceptional condition. ZERO swirl marks in the paint never been in the rain, wind ect you get the point. I'm "that guy". Only mods are KWV3 coil overs and HRE 847Rs 19". I have the stock wheels and stock suspension. Clear bra front bumper, hood, front quarters, headlights and rockers. Lyoyd mats never stepped on. It would be very difficult to find another car in this condition.
Anyway I'm not delusional about the value, however it seems as though the value of these cars is all over the map making it hard to gage the current value. At the end of the day it's really only worth what someone is willing to pay. I'm just curious as to what you guys think it would be worth.
The reason for the sale is boredom. I've had it for a bit over 5 years and I'm feeling the itch to get something different.

$45 would be a good minimum IMO, particularly if you include the stock wheels.

 

Agree with the others, I'd probably price it at $50k, and accept $46-47 as my low.

 

Put it up on ebay and see what happens. Worse thing is u keep it if you don't get your price. It's a beautiful car and it has been taken care of. Just keep in mind it is 12 years and 3 generations old. People are used to the new techie toys available on newer models and are willing to pay for them. So don't price it so high that the cross point intersects with newer models. I would look at other years such as 2005-2007 and see where they are priced as well as other 2002s before establishing your reserve. GL.

 

I would say 50-51. Low mileage beauties like this are not easy to come by. GLWS

 

Keep the car and do the rwd conversion... it will feel different! Trust me you won't get bored.

50k plus or keep it= in my opinion nothing else in the price range comes close.

I bought my Turbo in Vegas about 3 years ago and it has not been driven in the rain or stored in the sun and looks new as well top to bottom and underneath.

NADA shows your car is worth about $35 trade and $40 retail, this is with your mileage and assumed to be in excellent condition. You may be able to add for the wheels and suspension if a prospective buyer would pay more. Some will pay less for any mods, some a bit more. Also I think you could ask more for a Vegas (dry, no rust or corrosion) car.

Generally a dealer may want to move a car like yours for a bit under high retail and they also want to buy back of book (less than wholesale). Dealers can generally get a bit more than private parties because they advertise, offer several financing plans and incentives, sometimes offer warranties and are generally better salesmen than owners.

Very good clean low mile Turbos are hard to find. Mine took nearly a year. I looked at many, had many PPIs done that failed. I would entertain putting your car back to stock if you can't get your price. Many buyers with deep pockets prefer 100% stock and will pay more. That's why you always see stock Porsche's on Porsche dealers lots. It gives the impression the car hasn't been F'ed with.

Getting your price will take patience. My brother a Porsche sales professional told me good clean cars in the $40-$60K price range and below are hard to find and there is a strong demand. This is in your favor.
