Hey all, So I'm engaging the thought of purchasing a tune, and reading a tons of wealth here on all the options for a tune, but I just happen to run across this Craigslist ad this morning, and thought, wow, an additional 20% off!
So my question is, has anyone used the NEW VRTuned, or know what the difference is from there old softronic format? or is it still through softronic just branded differently?
here is the link http://houston.craigslist.org/ptd/4372621351.html
other tunes I have been looking at are Markski@911tuning and EPL tunes. Just too many great reviews about them and I feel like I can't go wrong.
By the way, it is for my 996TT x50

You're in Houston....I'd go right to Momemtum Prosche and get flashed with GIAC software right at the dealer.

It's pretty new to market to make a realistic comparison to other options. Like Tom said, you might want to talk to Momentum about a GIAC tune. GIAC made 505 wheel horsepower on 91 octane on a Mustang dyno with a bolt-on X50 (even though many still say this is not possible). They also have a dedicated 1-bar wastegate file, which is a nice power bump for the OEM K24 guys. Feel free to send me a PM if I can help you out with anything.

We have a few racing videos of a GIAC-tuned X50 on our YouTube page as well:

That's a lot of new options that I need to look into. I know there isn't a best tune as each car has their own characteristics and each owner has their opinions. Thanks for the input guys.

IMO nothing beats having a local tuner, esp if you're planning on additional mods in the future.

They used to sell our software however they no longer do. The software that is being sold now has no affiliation with Softronic.

We can also offer files for future upgrades such as Turbos, injectors and so on.

You may contact me should you have any questions on flashing or our files etc. 203-723-8928

Best Regards,
Scott

This is a lot of good information, and to the guys sending me PM's thanks a bunch for your opinions. I'm getting a little closer on my decision and will for sure post results. I have definitely narrowed down the search.
