Agreed... but I thought I was a good driver, in a good car, the first time I went... and was promptly humbled by a good driver in a stock Miata and several other much less expensive cars.

But I made some life long friends and had lots of good laughs as well over the 10 years I Autox'd

I have done a couple, fotd but not sure how serious they were. Al Norton used to fotd regularly at pca.

Needs tune coilovers sway bar minimum.

I've had two STIs in the time I've had my Turbo, and auto-xed all of them. The Subarus were vastly superior and more fun auto-x cars. The Turbo is a lot more fun on the track. In auto-x I just find myself constantly spinning and sliding in 2nd and running at high revs or running in 3rd at lowered boost where it's hard to kick the rear end around and you understeer too much (even with my modified suspension that has dialed up oversteer).
