2005 - 996 Turbo S - 30,000 miles Purchase Price Value ?
Saw one deal from a chap on ebay who sold a 2004 (I think) Turbo with upgrades for $41,500 because he bought another car... sold really quickly

From what I have seen in the marketplace, $60K for a $35K mi "perfect" 996 Turbo S is a buy. Those cars (driven reasonably) are done depreciating and will quickly become collector's pieces with the manual transmission. I think you did well if the car history checks out and it's current on service.
Personally I wouldn't pay much more than a regular turbo, I guess it depends what your plans are though.
35k miles is right around where miles start depreciating the value.
My first 911 I bought with approx. 20k miles on it and I promptly drove away the "low mile value" over the next few years.
I bought my next one with 41k on it.

Well, the prices for the S seem to be very strong. The local exotic dealer near me just put a cab with a tip up last week for sale and it is already pending sale. It has 20k miles and was being offered at $67K. Also just listed is another cab with a tip that has only 12k miles, and is offered for $79K ! Wow, these are aggressive prices. And why not; these are great cars. Don't know why so many guys here seem to beat down the values of their own cars.

Turbo S that is
I saw a few for sub $60k, one had 100k miles, one had an accident and AUTOS are cheaper... sub 60K for a good under 30k mile 6MT is good buying ATM

Where I live there are people who buy very nice cars brand new, then add options and modifications, get bored, never drive them or rarely and then go onto the next. Some people in NY have so much money they do not care.
I bought my car with about $25,000 of mods and options, it had only been driven 4000 miles since the modifications like exhaust, diverters, spec wheels, suspension, carbon fibre spoiler, sound system, intercoolers and for $60k I think I got a great car.
I drove some other sports cars out here (the roads are awful and even worse after a harsh winter) and they felt like they would fall apart, Ferrari F430, Lambo LPs, Aston Martin.
The only car that could handle what I wanted was a Porsche Turbo or an E92 M3, which I would have had to add a S/C for $15k plus and that car will not hold value like an old Porsche.
Collectors out here are buying any quality 6MT car that comes along especially the last of the 996 2005 models and that magical little branding badge with an S
There appears to be lower prices on the west coast as I am sure there are more of these cars in a sunny climate. One 2005 Turbo S sold for $79k in Hawaii last month

I hear you. I'd have a hard time not considering an offer of $70K too.

Technically a Turbo S, without the badge!
