Recap Of 3/14 Texas mile Vid and vbox file

First off I would like to thank a few people, not in any special order..

Frank @the drive shaft shop, there is nothing this man can not do!

Cary @ERP

Bobby @Manhattan motorsports

Tom @NRGtech

John Bedell

Rob @forced performance

Ryan @suncoast Porsche

James @MoTeC

Dave @G-stream

Jim Craig @weldon fuel pump

Thank you guys for for feeding my car a steady stream of parts, invaluable knowledge and making sure I stay safe "just in case"... I just need to say that the above named make zero dollars off me labor wise and yet still offer their assistance and equipment for my use!

My car and my bad driving ended up the the fastest car/bike of the weekend! 227.1 The weather was not good with 20 mph head/crosswinds with gusts up to 30! Sunday we got a tailwind but the track was closed do to rain, event was canceled. My hope for 240 will have to wait..

Now for the crew.. Mark, Demetri, Dew, Arkady, Jeeve and Sweet Jess. Thank you guys, There is no "I" in team but there sure is a T!

vbox file of last pass when fuel pump fuse popped. I always talk about multi pumps being a bad idea and this is case in hand. If I had two or more high psi pumps my engine would have lean out and surely would have been damaged.

The Texas mile is a great event setup by great people. It is done safely and now they are the people who are putting on the Houston mile! They are all kids of cars there, a stock 997C2S was ripping it up! There is no reason why any body should feel they do not have enough power to run their car. Anyone with pics please post them up.

Go do it!

Tim

Save for pics

Vbox file will not load. If anyone knows how to load the file pm me

The carbon fiber under panels where all sucked off the car. It was a battle every run to fix/repair or just remove the parts.

congrats again tim on a fast and safe mile event. the best part for me is knowing each and every part of the car has your hands on it. not a store bought build but a true owners car

Here is a link to the last pass, the fuel pump fuse blew so I did not even make a half mile. Enjoy the data!

Nice. 4-5-4 money shifting is dangerous and can be expensive

Try turning your hand 180 degrees to the left for these shifts- thumb down. This way you won't have any force in the wrong direction. Just a thought.

A friend of mine has the numeric shifter with extension and his way from steering wheel to the shifter is short. I drove that car and you quickly get used to it.

A sequential gearbox is the final solution to this problem

It was a massive mechical over rev to say the least! Guest I am a good engine builder since nothing was damaged!! Problem with the sequential is gears in the ratios I want and them being strong enough. If any gear manufactures are reading I will be a test mule, labor on me parts on you
