CRR's Monster GT2 vs BHT in Mexico
12 Attachment(s)
Had a great cruise this AM with a nice mix of cars. Peter (HoustonT) brought the big stick 1450hp Lambo, Cam (CRR) and I had a good clean run, Ainslie (4080) broke some sh!t, Eric(Lucky Loser) brought out the Soup and Paulie rolled in his daily R8. The PoPo even stopped by to say hi! Then we crashed a Porsche meet at starbucks. Good times
BHT vs Cam from 65-180ish https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1397956953 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1397956953 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1397956953 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1397956953 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1397956953 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1398178535 https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ine=1398178535 |
Damn Cam's GT2 is FAST! Texas is where its at....... Those poor Porsche enthusiasts at the meet must of been a bit scared with all the monsters rolling up.

Seriously impressed with that GT2's ability to hang even for a little bit....wow.
What's he done to that thing since he picked it up?!? That can't be the 750rwhp setup from before? |

ill give u a hint it is not a 3.6 or 3.8 but has still smaller turbos compared to todd's car
Maybe it has NOS. |
For the record, I only blew a boost hose. This is the second time on that stretch of road that I have blew the same hose. I've ran the car hard on many other roads but this one damn road hates me. It's the Bermuda Triangle for boost hoses.

Todd's car is dialed in and pulling hard up top. this run was north of 190mph. my car has pretty identical transmission build as Todd's. Motor is 4.0 liter, GT3 top end and T04B hybrid turbos. Makes about 900whp and just barely edged out by 1100hp monster BHT. |

What HP output you expect from bigger turbos? Thanks |

Thanks going to leave the car as is this year and try to talk myself out of putting bigger turbos on. yes, if i did would be hta35's or borg warner efr's. would be happy with 1200whp on 30psi. |

thanks. i have never been able to obtain a flow map for these rare hybrids, but i believe they are very similar.

i wonder if someone can compare these turbos to GT30/76hta.maybe that can help me to choose turbos i want to purchase,GT30/76hta or GT35/86hta.actually i am still running A30/76 on my proto 3.8l i am not sure if gt35 will make it very laggy.
Thanks, Ali. |
Good race, congrats guys! I might come in June in Houston and hope to meet both of you... and your cars :)
Cam seems to me your car needs bigger turbos :D, i thought the outcome would be a bit different...closer at least... your car runs the most efficient engine over here imo.. As far as i know these hybrid turbos can flow like 59lbs or so.. the hot side is 35ish but the compressor wheel is like a 3076... i went with the bigger wheel and the billet version available now, as i think you have the mid size wheel non billet version, it might be a good choice for you too... will give more top end, but expect full boost 3-400 rpms later... considering your 4.0 engine that shouldn't be a problem and a quick and cheap upgrade for you till you consider a full turbo upgrade... As Markski said these turbos with the biggest billet wheel will act like a small gt35... I ran before this setup the A3076 and the hotside of these turbos is much bigger than alphas, compressor housing is the quite the same size, they hit later (3-400rpms) but much harder and the top end is powerful... the sound of external wgs worth to be mentioned too Ali, i expect with your 3.8 build to have the same lag with big gt35s as i have with these turbos on 3.6 |
