Random stuff - set screw on shifter and buzzing related to alarm??
I have an '01tt and just got a new for me shift ****. My old one didn't have a set screw and the new is supposed to, but the used parts vendor didn't include it. I believe they are going to provide me with one, but in the meantime, without it, it's rather loose. Is there any other fix without having the magic set screw? Can i position the **** anywhere I want to from a height perspective. On it's own, it'll be somewhat lower than the stock one is, which is kinda of cool. It really shortens the throws.
This next one is harder... I was in the car e-mailing someone and had just turned the car off and removed the key. I could hear a very faint buzzing noise. It seems to be related to the alarm. When i set the alarm, the buzz seemed like it was in time with the flashing of the alarm light on the dash as it provides the 30 seconds before it sets the alarm. Once the alarm was fully set, I couldn't hear the buzzing anymore. Any thoughts?

I know this may not be super helpful. But I have heard a similar noise in a 2011 SL that I used to have. Never could figure out where it was coming from. Didn't seem to cause any harm, however.
