Brian Copans did mine with guard billet main shaft ,guard gears, steel syncros and straight cut 3,4,5, with a ruf 6th gear.Very happy and was about 12k.

tracshun is infamous around these parts
Are all these prices assuming a healthy core, or are most people who are cracking into these things doing so because of some failure/problem?

Sounds like the questions been answered.

I got a built trans with the usual 997 gt2 mainshaft 1st, 2nd, 3rd billet side plate etc..
triple carbon disc erp / rps and numeric shifter and the gt2 slave conversion.

As streetable as it gets and smooth as butter. Just be careful when installing the
clutch and don't bend those damn ears lol.

I personally brought mine in as a healthy core and added it during my engine build and did everything at once as preventative maintenance.


I know BHT did the transmission build after he lost 3rd gear.

Yep, but the case was still fine.

lol that's only half of it! First thing was the gt2 mainshaft wasn't torqued
down properly and it created havoc in the trans. I had to do a rebuild
and replace the mainshaft, some synchros and bearings!!!
