996TT Matte Orange Wrap
a numeric shifter, you would buy one the same day!
It feels more like a bolt action rifle than a shifter, solid and exacting!
expensive and if you're justing looking at hp per dollar, it doesn't add up
well. But if you're looking for overall drivability and more usable torque
range, it works.
With the weight savings and 3.8 liter, the car is faster than most cars with
much bigger turbos.
The gearbox and clutch were a mess and now everything is absolutely
perfect! They did a fantastic job all the way around and Jason is just
a fantastic dude! Big thanks to Steve (32 crazy) for hooking me up!
And don't underestimate your involvement. There were only a few Porsche
Turbos with ProEfi and flex when we did this build. You were very instrumental
in helping us put this project together. It wasn't just another built engine with
big turbos and a maf-less tune! It was widely uncharted territory and you did
a great job sourcing info and parts and in helping configure the build!
Looking good bro.
Its funny ive had an Heiko orange roll cage and recaro carbon Kevlar pole positions in black leather with orange stitching sitting in my back room for nearly 2 years lol and you have just made me think about fitting them.
I was also thinking of an RS orange rap or maybe a Mexico blue rap.
Also thinking of doing the callipers orange.

Mexico blue.
I don't know if you're a Porsche history fan, but check out the pastel lineup
for 911s and 914s in the early and mid 70s.
Jeez man, I bet those carbon kevlar Recaro set you back a pretty penny!
ProEfi tech. You are def in good hands.
And you are gonna love the numeric shifter! I never really understood
why Porsches had such sloppy shifters but then again, seems that all
Euro cars have sloppy shifting. Except Ferrari and they have that weird
gated shifter that's next to impossible to get used to.
shifter..
Looks like Garth has more experience with Porsche then any other
ProEfi tech. You are def in good hands.

hey randy.. if ya got any pics of the interior?.. would like to see the numeric and recaros too. but i'm still tryin to imagine that engine build ya did and the 20mph hairpins round here
thats like 2 of my car lol

thats like 2 of my car lol
I still have the factory **** on the numeric and it kinda obscures
everything. I'll be trading out pretty soon.
I got some suspension including H&R coilovers and with the 350+ lbs
of weight savings, it handles really well. And the weight loss and the
gt3 front and 997 TT rear brakes, it stops. and I mean it stops.
I think a lot of guys underestimate the difference the 3.8 conversion makes.
If your metric is purely hp for the buck, then you're right. But if it's overall
drivability and low end grunt, then it's money well spent.
I'm a driver and only recently got involved in the straight line mania. Back in
the day I tracked my 930s and my 944 turbo. I still prefer the twistys but in
order to extract anything that looks like the limit of performance from this car,
exceeds my driving skills.
can't wait bro but i've seen another shifter at Undercover on a killer white GT2 with manual tranny and this one is different you just pull the shifter down like the old th 400 without touchin the clutch? i'm checkin it out now i thought it was pretty cool. The car is a 1000 hp set up in mint condition.
double clutch?
http://www.sequentialshifters.com
i get the two of them confused. this is sequential,.. the numeric is not?
edit: saw the interior. nicely done!.. but cant see the shifter..

The RS orange is a fantastic color on the 911 but then again so is the
Mexico blue.
