Painting Center Console back to stock black..

Hey everyone, I have an alcantara center console that I'm selling due to also selling the car soon, and have gotten a replacement center console in the wrong color and need to repaint it black.

Any tips on painting and/or recommendations for spray paint? I dont want to go to a body shop to have it painted and looking for something relatively cheap that will go on well and look good enough for the sale and decent quality.

Thanks anyone.

Use plastidip. It's a perfect color match and it's stronger than the stock soft-touch paint. You can find spray cans of it at Home Depot.

etching primer, sand with 800 grit wet paper, 3 coats gloss black in a paint bomb 50% coverage overlap. wet sand with 1000 grit. 3 coats clear coat wet sand again with 1000 and 3 more coats . wet sand , polish with menzerna and then a sealer coat. total cost less than 100$ and time would be 10 to 12 hrs actual time. ( not inc drying time) or sell it to me for 100$ and ill paint it yellow for my car!

The stock color of the console was savannah beige. I just cleaned it and plasti-dipped it to see how it would look (no sanding prep). It turned out great and has held up for 3 years now.

Another vote for plasti-dip. Easy to apply and looks almost identical to the factory plastic
