I just showed my car to a guy today and he offered $38k cash. I'm very firm at $42k-$44k range. 2002 slate gray on black tiptronic with 35,700 bone stock. He claimed to have been looking for 9mts and said its one of the cleaner ones he has seen. Searching for sale cars I feel I'm priced right and there are just very few comparable at my price.

Pump,
If what he says is true, he'll come back. The secret to getting your price is to detail, detail detail. Make your car a no issue, no story, no excuses example. On my last 996 I spent most of a week detailing it. I removed the seats and cleaned every square inch of the interior, under the frunk, wheel liners and motor. With over 60K miles my car looked near showroom mint. All the rubber door and window trim was shiny and new looking, not a speck of dust on the gauges or on the dash vent louvers. It knocked the first buyers socks off when I took him for a ride, then let him drive it. I got high retail and that was 4 1/2 years ago in the pit of the recession. He had looked at several cars and couldn't believe the condition of mine. With just servicing it, having all books and records and spare keys handy, he couldn't argue with my high price. The only thing he was certain of was that he wanted my car. He gave a commitment then and there.

Yeh I think I'm there. There really is no issue. Just have one hydraulic leak on the spoiler but it still goes up and down fine.

Iv done ALL the detail work and don't even drive it anymore. Iv even pulled the wheels and detailed the wells and been under the car and treated the underneath panels.even pulled the front bumper and cleaned the leaves and detailed anything I touched.

He's telling me he's seen these things going for $32ish at manheim auction but you gotta be a dealer for that!! They still turning around and selling for $40+ lol.....I'm not worried about it but ready to get it gone as I'm not driving it at all now. Like I said, he thought it was one of the better he had seen.
