I have no idea. Only bearings I've shredded have been in the trans. I sure hope i never author a thread like this.

I was under the impression that the 3.6 turbo motors were bullet proof

they're tough, no doubt. but "bulletproof"? is a misnomer.

Ouch...That had to be one of the hardest videos to watch, I have only taken my car to the track once and totally enjoyed it hope I never see that...Good luck with the repairs...

There are a couple of engines on eBay that came out of later model cars. There are even a couple of X50 engines! Will an '02-'05 engine bolt right into my '01 without changing the DME? When I did engine swaps in my Boxster, I always stayed with the same model year for simplicity. Are there other issues involved in a swap that I should be aware of?
