speed limit exceeded on dash?

speed limit exceeded on dash?
Still new to my 01 and driving yesterday as I am driving it dings and states "speed limit exceeded". Did I somehow set something in the computer to make this go off and if so, how do I shut it off? Thanks.

I'm sure you just set something by accident, but I am not sure what. Someone else should chime in soon w/ the answer.

Yeah, it's a setting in the dash menu. Like to babysit if you let your kid drive. I can't remember the exact location, but it's easy enough to stumble across and remove without too much luck involved.

Set it at the "if I exceed this I goto jail" speed in your area. When it dings you then make a conscious decision to either goto jail or not. Problem is the damn dinging all the time on the highway.
