Ok, I'll be cautious of the microswitches. I thought I saw mention in another thread of actually replacing the seals on the rams. Is that overkill if the PS stop leak fluid is plenty successful?

The yellow was a must. Still want to add a yellow Gallardo someday too, but the 911 was a bit more in the budget at this point.

Love the yellow RUF. Looks amazing with those wheels.

My rams had leaked long before I bought the car - it was sold to me with the knowledge that the spoiler did not work. I could see evidence of the leak on both sides on the cap that is under each ram - kind of a sticky coating - most of the PS fluid long ago evaporated. That said, there still was PS fluid in the cyclinders at the motor and rams, just far less than needed. I went to the autoparts joint and bought the cheapest PS Stop Leak I could find, and used that 100% strength to fill all 4 cylinders (two with pistons extended two with pistons retracted - at either end of the hose). Took some coaxing and bleeding to get the air out, but once done, the system works fine. I took the hydraulics completely off the car to do this (about 30 min.) and onto my workbench. Whew...all that so I could tell you for the past month since rebuild, no leaks, works fine. How long will it last...no idea, but I suspect the Stop Leak will be a major bonus on longevity.

I have bought main parts to convert the whole dumb thing over to 12VDC - no hydraulics, but this requires CAD time and milling of parts, figuring out the new microswitch system, etc.
Hope to offer a low cost, simpler, lighter weight, bolt on solution to my fellow TT owners sometime in the next 6 months or so - too many competing activities (like running the Grattan HPDE this weekend ).

You will love the total package this machine offers you!

The best part of this package is the aftermarket support, making you able to build a world class overall performing super car from power, handling, looks etc.

Enjoy!

LOL, all good information though :-)

Since it's been working fine, I'll probably wait to dig into it on a weekend when I put the car up on the lift for spark plugs and any other maintenance it needs.

I had an old 944 that I used for work and power steering rack started leaking bad so tried stop leak and it held for about three years. Sat for few years after I retired and finally sold it to a guy that fixed it and still driving it today=great car.

Already loving the "total package" Completely different experience from the viper. But at the same time I'll never part with the gts.

Congrats on the purchase and enjoy it! Stick around here too, lots to learn and contribute!

So I tried to pay closer attention last night and it seems like the stumble or slight burble is right at about 3200 rpm. Having a feeling this is some byproduct of the variocam as its not really a missfire or anything like that. Thanks for pointing that out. :-)
