Good reason for you to take a trip out to California. Come on out and stay a few days!

To ALL the people in the Gulf Coast areas; best of wishes for riding out the storm. I have been informed that they think the water surge in Houston could go as far as the South loop of the 610!

Stay well people.

we made it to DFW area just now. Took about 10 hrs, but we are here. Traffic was terrible and gas was scarce. I heard from ppl left back home the traffic is even worse now.

Thanks to all of you for your support!

Just heard, they turned both sides of lanes (inbound and out) on 45 to outbound, no one is being allowed back in. Hopefully that will alleviate some of the traffic so people can get out.

10 hours? Sounds like you made good time compared to others! I didn't know your location was Houston. We are about 80 miles from the coast. We won't have flooding where I am, but the 75-100 mph winds will do some damage. Staying home seems more safe than the highway right now. If the county evacuates, we may try taking the back roads to College Station. I-45 is moving at 3mph right now!
