Might be a 996 Turbo owner today!!

Hey all,
I've been lurking on the 996 Turbo forums for a long time now and hopefully today I will finally own my first 996 Turbo!! Not 100% new to the Porsche world as my last one was a modded 2004 Cayenne Turbo. But this is my first sports car in a while (last one was an Evo8) and my very FIRST 911 Turbo! Needless to say I am very nervous, anxious and excited right now! The car is out of state, but the deal is close to being done and just waiting for an email back. It's going to be excruciating waiting while it's en-route to me!

I'll post some pics when I get it!!

This Mark P's car? If so, you are getting a good one. Also, heard that you are also former st3 B5S4 owner?

Thanks Guys for the kind words!! Some paper work needs to be sent out to be signed and I need to figure out if I should ship the car or fly out and drive it back....hmm not sure! A nice drive sounds great with the car...but then again...all those miles and bug guts all over it, etc doesn't sound nice! lol. What would YOU do??

Pretty simple details:
2001 Blk/blk 6-spd
Bone stock with 68K...lol not much else to say except it looks CLEAN and well taken care of....lots of service records, etc.

Zanhtoid - no don't think it's Mark P's car...and I have never owned an Audi...yet!
I still hope it's good one though!

Congrats I would have it shipped by reputable company but everyone else will say drive it back lol. I would rather have it close to home for my first few miles just in case something unbeknown pops up=hopefully not good luck.

Ship it. I had exceptional service by a shipping company from Dallas to Detroit.

The last 3 cars I bought, 2 Porsche's and a Lexus were fly and drive. Don't know a better way to finalize a deal and get familiar with my new car. I'd hate to spend upwards of $60K based on a phone pic, promises, and maybe a PPI.

I've always had the option of renegotiation, if anything was not as represented or any surprises were discovered. Whatever you choose, GL!

I have done both fly drove home / shipped

Driving alternator went out in Hartfort CT, 2 days in a hotel while mechanic replaced it didn't show anything during PPI

Shipped three times
first time window not alway up on open carrier wet inside
second huge snow storm car delayed big time
last time rocker panel knocked off unloading car

either way enjoy I would drive - just get the tow insurance First, just incase

my 4th Pcar and 996TT by far the Best!

I forget, I was driving cars halfway across the country with only 200 miles, 17K and 32K. Also from a couple of weeks old to less than 6 years.
