Slow your roll kid. We are just trying to help. Sometimes what you think you know, simply doesn't apply to the 996TT. It's just the way it is.

I think on-paper deadbeatrec is correct, but in real world applications it's different.

On another turbo car I had an electric cutout on the downpipe close to the turbo. On the dyno the car actually lost a little bit of power, and my tuner hated it. I think if the pipes are long enough it allows the exhaust gases to pick up some speed and it helps smaller turbos.

if you can handle the noise, i would tend to believe the weight savings alone should offset any small loss of low end torque.

here are my straight pipes. no codes with ebay o2 extenders. no codes after about 750 miles anyways.

Damn! This setup is ridiculous and looks simple as hell. You HAVE to post some sound clips, at least at idle.

You described in your original post how a 430whp car is keeping up with you.... etc... trust me a good tune will take care of that car...
I never said you need to spend money... and def. not $2K... I offer a 1 week free trial... simple as that... I bet you will never go back... And I offer 5 tuning upgrades for one flat price...

There you go... I didn't want to speak for markski but he's who I used.

I researched quite a bit and I'm happy to share my pro/con list with you via pm.

Also I came from a 335i full bolt on plus meth and nitrous.

I'm running techart exhaust with hollowed cats and Markski Tune-- I also vote that a good tune can get rid of CE light, not only that, tune will transform your car like stilov says, I installed o2 bungs/spacers, and still was getting CE light after 30miles or so right now I put about 280 miles on full tank of gas- where it used to be around 200, I'm not kidding, NO CE light and on top of that car makes more power!

Thinks he knows it all....

Science doesn't always work

My 996tt stg 2 with FVD straight pipes instead of the exhaust I had on with mufflers/cat bypass lost power and torque everywhere... The k16's are too small and so are the length of the straights
It boosts more and maxes out those turbos ,
