CJV- As per a previous post, when (this month) do you want to give Alexander a run ??

As soon as S Car Go Racing is finished you guys will get a chance providing you detail all modifications and answer any 6speedonline members questions about the car
You can go to the Tuning and Modification section for live updates/pics as to our progress. In the mean time get lots of practice.
PS ............ I see you guy's are using the GT35R turbo's.
The times at WS were very, very nice down the straight. What's with those overall lap times?

cjv: Before I ask this I want you to know I mean no disresppect to you or KA. I am just a noob on this forum still and I don't understand these cars the way a lot of you guys do either. Everyone talks about KA and how insane it is, but I have never seen a single time slip or even a recent dyno sheet. You always talk about how fast KA will be but I never see anything become of it on the forum. PLease don't take offence to this comment just explaint o me what I am missing.
I think this is the most interesting thread I have seen on 6speed in a while. It's about time someone explained how these cars have 800hp and are running the same times as cars with 600. I know that at the old shootout Cargraphic ran a really good time in the quarter and won the track with around 650hp. This is so confusing how all these numbers don't add up and I'm starting to understand it now. So thanks to everyone for posting all this info.

Excellence ran the car in April and June of 2003. They didn't run the article until May 2004. At the time we were bouncing between 568 and 615 rwhp. The bounce was due to experimentation on internal intake bulds and exterior intake jackets. We tried the bulds first and they reduced power. The best time was 11.3 at around 126 mph. The track temperature was 102 degrees and there was a 20 mph head wind. This was all explained in the article. Remember, this was early 2003 and this car was ahead of it's time.
The motor was changed again, I never posted any more times, yet ran some pretty fast cars in our local area. People were present when these runs took place and that is probably how things spread. Weather people agree or not, they know why no further times were posted.
Now for today. KA is close to being finished and I am not going to rush Rob King @ S Car Go Racing. Weather he finishes in November, December, January or February ......... I could really care less. Reason being it rains during those months.
We will welcome a comparison to any street legal 996tt on a track like LS, Infineron, Thunderhill for lap times and a drag strip. As I said earlier in the cjv/s car go thread, any challenger must:
1) Post on 6 speed all their modifications.
2) Answer to 6speed members any of their questions about their car.
*street legal for this purpose is kats installed, meets Calif. decible thrusholds which are monitored at the track and is currently licensed.
With this you can have your timeslips. Fair enough.

With that straight-line motivation, if the suspension is set up well (and with certain pro-level drivers at the helm) that car could see 1:21-1:23 at WS. With a good hobby driver, maybe 1:30 would be expected. If it was gutted and no longer a street car, who knows what it could be capable of.
Btw, your parameters for a challenge are very fair; hold the challenger to the same basic requirements you're abiding by. Respectable.

CJV-
Good choice on considering Protomotive to tune the 3.8l in KA.

oak-
Alexander's car attained (according to radar readings) 171.6mph on the front straight before turn one at WS. As for lap times, I don't know until I receive the DV and time it accordingly.
Videos will be posted as soon as Alexander sends me the DV.

With no vario cam (lift), larger displacement and bigger ports/valves someone is going to have fun tuning it.
The straight time you just quoted is exactly what I heard. When you post the lap time we'll see if that is what I heard also.
Hey, I thought Alex told Rob he was running Motronic. I'm hearing otherwise. What is the real skinny?
