I, like many others are torn between purchasing the 997S or a used 996TT. I have made up my mind on the TT because I have driven several modded TT and I can't see myself buying a non turbo Porsche. My question is what mile range is still a good buy when buying an used TT? Is it under 10,000, or 10,000-15,000, or is 30,000 still OK? Also know that I will be getting bigger turbos, headers, exhaust, and reprogramming the ECU after I buy the car. How much should this effect my decision on miles?

I agree with Joe, as long as the previous owner has taken good care of the car, then you're all good. Of course, pending PPI. I prefer a car which has a little bit more mileage (20k-30k), another words, has been driven and sorted out rather than a garage queen.

Best of luck with your car search.

Welcome to the club brotha! There are more of us every day. I am looking at certified pre-owned cars from authorized dealerships in the 5k miles and under range. I believe CPO will extend the factory warranty on the drivetrain.
