Camber angle off

Hi all,

Car is a 2002 turbo. Had it aligned becoz the front lower/upper control arms were replaced yesterday. The alignment mechanic told me when he adjusted the front camber angles, they were really off-center. Left-side is off-center to the far left, and right-side is off-center to the far left also. In short, he just barely made it under the spec. He thought the chassis may have been off-center due to an accident, but as he inspected the chassis, he didn't find any evidence of any chassis repair or accident.

I don't know enough about the geometry of the wheels, shocks, and the multiple links. What can be the cause of this?

If you look at the struts through the top mount (round hole where you make the camber adjustments), both are not in the center. The car otherwise drives fine and tracks well.

Thanks!

BTW... The left-side of the upper control arm is replaced with a new compatible part, while the right-side has the Porsche-OEM part, which was replaced about a year ago. Will this have any effect on the camber angle?

The mechanic told me before he made the angle changes, both struts appeared off-centers already...
