Congrats on the garage, it will be put to good use. At this point, I think having a lift is #1 through #10 on my bucket list, I'm so tired of working on my back hah.
I can probably swing by Thursday? I am no-joke driving across country Friday. New job out in San Francisco. Justin you around?

i have seen more and more of the canards installed. whats the proper way to determine placement? does a few inches either way or up and down affect the airflow? is it more cosmetic for the street cars? seems like folks just stick them on and off they go

... at what point does increased downforce potentially impede aerodynamics and increase drag coefficient for this platform? and how does one calculate that? it would seem a shame to gain on the one hand but lose on the other. but it's probably a question only the uninformed would ask. so i apologize in advance.

I figure it like this -- the GT2 is light in the front end at high speed due to the big boy spoiler in the back. Anything that can add some front downforce -- I'm totally willing to try.
At least the canards + splitter will start to balance out the GT2 rear decklid visually
(besides the 4.0 has them so I want them too_

but i sure understand the rear to front bias you mention so i can see how that'd help to minimize that! my car now rwd is twitchy light in front at times but that splitter wouldn't last a minute where and how i drive. i barely have clearance for the c4s lip! but thx for the explanation. i can't be the only guy thought about it.

I have a splitter with two different blades as well as canards on the way from joe. I'm hoping to add some downforce with these items as my car is very front end light at speed and on heavy acceleration.

So I finally got some track time out at Thunderhill (I just moved out to CA, so it's not been priority sadly)
First time out with he splitter, I have to say: I absolutely felt the difference in high(er) speed corners. Lots of front grip that I didn't remember being there
On the topic of deflection -- I hit 135 on the main straight at Thill a few times and observed no issues. No GoPro at the time, but I'm going to hook some up and do a higher speed run. I had my Dad watch as I went down and he said it didn't look like the blade was deforming, either.
Next time out, +canards and video of splitter.
Here's a few pics!
