duck tail for a 996 turbo
Thanks and yes, I had them shave the third brake light
Easiest look for the ducktail, not as exaggerated as the '73 Carrera though, is just to remove the wing and rams. I did this years ago after I got tired of 2 hydraulic pump failures and the Perma-raised fixed wing. The movable wings that were synced to speed at one time were a reason alone to have a Turbo. What other car does that? Porsche "marketing division" I'm thinking directed the design engineers to incorporate this feature. Now, I think the whole thing is rather silly and the car looks much better, cleaner and the organic design can be appreciated without the immediate focal point of a movable wing stacked atop a fixed ducktail.

I have not yet, I would like to. A black silicone plug would be great. I've thought about many ways to cast plugs with RTV. Also thought about other materials, aluminum plate, sheet metal, formed, machined, etc. Simple is better, I'm not worried about a perfect color match, just so the exposed part is smooth and fits well and may look somewhat factory rather than a home made plug.
