So the motor is out and not a single darn thing got broken on the way!!!

Questions to mighty gods of 996:

1. Please help me locate all 8 of the cooling fittings, so far I found 5, mmaybe 6, if I count one going into oil tank. BTW, does oil tank have cooling jacket in it?
2. What do I do, while it is out, my list is: cooling, clutch, water pump, rear main seal, 8mm ball shifting mod, what else?
3. Transmission mount is shot, drive shaft coupler is also on its way out, where do I procure those?
4. Clutch seems to be the "pull type" and does not let gearbox out, unless I remove triple square bolts all around clutch plate, is this correct?
6. Any other advice, while the guts are out?

Mileage is 58K, year '01.

Thanks!

Re the clutch you need to access the rod that the clutch fork pivots on you do this by looking at your drivers side 2/3rds of the way up there is window at the front (engine end) of the box/bellhousing, you need to remove the retaining clip and pull the shaft using a M5 I believe bolt that you would screw into the end of the pin to pull on, that will release the fork and the box can be removed

It worked, thank you!

I also found thread on how to re-do cooling fittings, so at this point it is all about how deep I want to go into preventative maintenance.

!

Try searching under "driveshaft flex joint" too.

PM me if you cannot find one.
