Normal oil pressure flux?

I was just wondering what is considered normal oil pressure flux?

When at idle and warm I'm anywhere from just below 2 bar to just above 2 bar. every once in a while the needle will bounce ever so slightly and go right back to were it was. I'm sure there is a factory allowable limit for flux, I'm just curious what it is.

When driving around 2.5k+ rpms I'm around 4 bar, and when I'm around 2-2.5k rpms I'm closer to 3 bar. It never bounces when I'm driving, but the needle will move relative to the gas pedal, and when I let off the gas and put my foot back on it'll drop ever so slightly and then go back up.

I've never gotten low oil pressure lights and I've never had the oil pressure seem low for what the RPMs were, I'm just curious what is considered normal flux limits. I think what I've described is probably acceptable, just curious.

Interested to see answers on this too. I see up to 4.5 on my gauge sometimes, so was wondering the same.

i mean the gauge is working if you see 2 to 5 while driving and working thru the rev ranges. but 2 is normal at idle. and occasional and momentary bounces of the gauge do not mean the sender is bad. necessarily lol. i have just below 5 whenever cruising and i keep my oil TOPPED.

but that's not ordinarily a gauge i watch and i have weaned myself off of trying to beat stoplights and check the oil level with the stalk before light goes green again

What you are seeing is normal. Pegged when cold. About 2 at idle and about 4.5 when cruising.

The drop when you get back on the gas is the solenoids opening to the high lift galleys.
