a lowered car on 19's is going to rub at hard lock, at the very least. at least that's my experience.

I think I found a setup that gets close to the OEM 18 inch ratios:

Pilot Super Sport
295/30/19 -- 799 revs per mile, 26 inches tall
235/40/19 -- 787 revs per mile, 26.4 inches tall

That makes for a difference of 12 revs per mile, and .4 inches taller in the front. Only 2 revs per mile off the OE spec (and obviously taller so speedo will be off).

By my math a 235/40 is only 12mm taller than a 235/35

can't get much closer than that. the 12 revs per mile will not cause any issues. only exception might be for a short period before the ecu adapts as when say putting new rears against old(er) fronts and the car throws abs/psm cels when any perceptible difference btw front to rear is most pronounced. actually, being that close, the ecu might not even notice it.

Agreed, great job with your research! The minor differences in section width are also minimal.

I believe it's already been established that 235/40/19s simply won't fit at the front as they are too tall and will interfere with the fender.

Ok....guess I'll spend the extra money and just go the 315/25 & 235/35 route. The Nitto Invo seems reasonably priced. Even Costco wanted $600 each for the PS2.

245/35/19 PSS front lowered heavily on H&R springs and no rubbing lock to lock.

What size do you have in the rear? Ever try a 245/40 up front?

I ended up ordering:
Forgeline GA1R's
Michelin PSS
19x9, +44mm, 245/35/19 Sect Width=9.8", Tread Width=9.2", Overall Diameter=25.8", Rev/Mi=807
19x12, +44mm, 305/30/19 Sect Width=12.3", Tread Width=12.1", Overall Diameter=26.3", Rev/Mi=792

Yes, the fronts apparently will roll slightly faster than the rears but the % difference is 1.9%, which is less than the 3% others mention. I'm glad someone here mentioned running these in the fronts and not rubbing. Hopefully, I will be as lucky. I will report back as soon as I can get the tires mounted. Waiting for the wheels to come in.

3% might be a threshold, but that's for the rears spinning faster than the fronts. You're taking it into the other direction with the fronts outspinning the rears.

No clue if it really matters...just pointing it out.

this is the perfect set up. especially on a 9 and 12 width rim. you will be very happy. you'll be right at the edge of the fender up front. gonna look awesome and handle like a whole new car.

How about Frt 26.1" and Rear 26"

Guys, how about Frt 26.1" dia and Rears 26", Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Frt 225/40/19, Rear 295/30/19.
Still a pretty decent footpoint (little small in the front) but spot on in tire diameter ratio and they will fit, without modification

The rears will spin faster than the fronts, but just barely (by 2 revs per mile).

I don't know how a 225 will act up front. Maybe Steve can chime in, but it sounds like he really likes a 245 up front.
