I am a michelin ps2 man.

However, I've been "foolishly" convinced by my mate that n4 pirellis p zero rosso's are worth a go, they were good price, so I went with it. I immediately regretted the decision as I had to balance them 3 times in order not to have vibration on my steering wheel. Eventually they've balanced ok. Since then I've always had a shimmy for the first 10 miles but then it went away. Not happy but can live with it.

So, on my car - pirelli p zero rosso. Tyre age; 10 months/8k miles.

They were fine up to this point during summer in warm weather. My problem right now however is that after a "properly spirited" 10-15 mile run (hard acceleration and hard braking on twisty roads) Once back on the highway I get a steering wheel wobble under braking at a certain speed only (@ around 70 - 60 mph). If I continue on the highway for another 30 miles @ a steady 100mph the wobble under breaking nearly disappears but not completely. The following day from cold I have no wobble under braking at any speed at all. What do you guys think?

Crap pirelli tyres hardening having done 8k miles, flat spotting, out of balance or perhaps I am overhearing my brakes, if this is likely or even possible on the street? My money is on the tyres but I find it odd that steering doesn't shimmy on acceleration or steady driving at the time of the fault.

I am out of ideas. What say are you?

Ps. I am back to ps2 for sure.
