Need some racing input.
I think my dad is going to buy an Aerial Atom 2 and i'm going to try and race it/track it. I just completed skip barber driving school and plan on doing the three day racing school this winter which will earn me a provisional SCCA license. I want to race the Atom and do track events but before I spec it what do I need. The Atom being such a track car offers many of the accesories right from the factory so can you guys tell me if these are required for SCCA:
Fuel Cell
Fire Supression
H.A.N.S device
External fuel cut off
Quick Release Steering Wheel
thanks.

Before you think about racing the Atom, take another look at the car, then imagine what happens to you if it rolls...
I love the look of the Atom, and I love that such a tiny company made it, but I sincerely doubt it's well-suited to racing. DE's maybe, where the risk is lower, but the Atom's pretty close to being an open wheel car.
Having said that, if you get one, I'm damn well driving my happy *** to the Buckeye state for a ride.

Haha anytime. I may not have communicated it right, I just want to get out on the track not hardcore racing. Just want to have some fun without worrying about the police. Plus you can't reach strech the legs of these cars on the streets without possibly killing someone.
