03 TT X50 prices
03 TT X50 prices
Hi. I have a 2002 C4S which is a great car, but am looking to upgrade to a TT X50. Test drove one at a dealership: a 2003 X50 with 9K miles. No extra options. They want 105K. I think this is high. I'm thinking around 95K would be fair. Any thoughts on a price range for this year and model. thanks.
95k seems reasonable. But I would check out the for sale section on Ciggy1's 02 GT2 with 15k for $110k!!! seems like a heck of a deal!! I would jump on this over a 03 X50 for 15k less. Just my .02 Ted
That's too high. Six months ago, here in D/FW, which is one of the hotter markets in the country, an '04 Turbo S went for about $102K. I agree, right now, that car should be about $90-95K. I got $8K off the price of my new '05 Turbo S, which was a combination of buyer loyalty reward and weakened market.
I have a feeling that when the 997TT comes out, scarcity of Turbos and retrospective analysis of the solidity and overengineering of the 996 Turbo line will raise 996TT prices, but who knows?
There are better deals out there.

my 2 cents
I think that X50 adds about 4-5K max over a non-X50 TT. A non-X50 would be in the mid-80's so I would value that car at 90K. If you wait a few more months (winter), they will want to move the car and you should have better leverage. Porsche sales were down 9% last month and it will certainly not pick up during the winter months.
I think we all agree 100K+ is too much. If you look at www.autotrader.com, there aren't a lot of X-50s, but the ones that are there aren't bringing a lot over non-X-50s. And a modded X-50 doesn't bring ANYTHING over a X-50 (sigh).
