E85 Injector Upgrade Recommendations
Correct ASNU use Bosch and mod them, they have to be bought in matched sets, im getting some 1100's for mine right now and running with a 5 bar reg.
ID's are an injector designed for gas and im not talking petrol, every ID we ever see has problems being eaten away by fuel, they last no time at all running race fuel either, I will only fit ASNU injectors the fuel atomisation alone knocks spots off the ID's and they go up to a 1600.

FIC website sells the 1650 in a 4 lot for Porsche cars..
I mean do they really sell you 4 fookin injectors for $1350.. must be a typo ?

if I recalled correctly, this injector is NOT modified at least the internals anyway. The packaging may vary but Bosch make this injector a 1650cc developed by ANSU.
FIC/ANSU are testing difussion plates to change spray patterens. but its a couple 6 months before release. Im told that the spay pattern will improve but at the cost of flow.

the injector im talking about is the Ansu/Fic 1650.
the concern I had when looking for an injector to support 1000 hp(crank) your options are very limited. Sure you can get an over sized fic 2150 or better yet ID 2000. But there's a big gap between 1300 and 2000 cc.The other concern is the injector being a modified smaller injector.I say this because of my experience that drilled out injectors or modified injectors have not performed to advertised data.
In end, will the injector idle, have good throttle response and support the big power of E-85.

I've seen reference to ID1700 from a racer. I know that ID is trying to fill the gap between 1300 and 2k but haven't seen anything released publicly. Everything I read says their injectors handle odd fuels so I'd really really like more information if anyone is seeing failures as the 1300 is what I was looking to use for E85. Injector Dynamics produces a lot of data on their injectors that help tuners and I wanted to take advantage of that...
If you have access to the fuel I think it makes huge sense. It's got great octane and knock resistance, cheap, makes good power, and is apparently forgiving to tune. I hope not to need lines but want Sam's drop in pump setup, a big Walbro E85 rated pump, and apparently ID1300s. That's not too bad to start with. Rails, lines, and a second pump in the tank would be the next step up. I do wonder what E85 will do to the octopus in the tank. Any upgrades for those plastic lines?
hey guys,
soon will need a 450lph fuel pump and injectors to support 1000 hp pump or race fuel(e85 not available around) !The problem is no way i will take that octopus system and cut this drill this to fit that 450lph pump ...im looking for a plug and play system ...someone has developed this?
i already have evoms upgraded fuel line+72 lb injector that support around 700-750!
good thread Wolfhedge
thx

Did you get you engine going mate ?
thx man,so nop still no news from my engine builder and dont want to push the guy ... from last news in december he told me he didn't touch a single nut !i will share the internal damage picture as soon he get there...
i just got a set of new Bosch 1400s thru Undercover for 997 and I am extremely pleased with their driveability on both Pump gas and E85. they were also alot cheaper than the 2000s and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! i was not really happy with 2000s UNTIL I went to ProEFI at which point they were fine. Stock ECU it was ugly at first and after ALOT of time and tuning it got much better.
i would like to add and back up Dr.Robs point on E85.
E85 is awesome to A point and its nice to always be on kill. I am going to call that point 7-800whp. Reason why I say that it because you need SO MUCH invested in the fuel system and tuning to have the car running right. When you are making big power on ethanol the car has to flow an enormous amount of fuel which means big pumps ( big pumps means they are loud), OK no problem, but chances are you are also running high boost so the fuel pumps have to sustain and raise pressure while not dropping off too much flow ( which is what happens). Next you got the return issues, for big power you need to use a big orifice regulator because even if you stage the pumps when the second one kicks on its going to cause a spike unless you have a proper regulator and a proper return with no restrictions. Want a flexfuel sensor in return better Y it off or it will cause problems.
then factor in the whole stupid shape of the gas tank, and the basket and the stupid jet pumps. its just one giant PITA.
VS. race gas twin 044s MS109, 1000cc injectors, 1000whp all day. yeah its more money alot more money per gallon but its easy.
