What do you mean? These cars are not long lasting? If that's the case, I'll just get rid of mine.

I think not! It's more like people are afraid of putting mileage in these cars and not getting the resale they wanted. Is it true? Can someone verify this please? I only have 20K in my '03 since new just because I have several vehicles I used as a daily driver and not so much the Turbo.

I guess the question is "How long will the car last if driven modest and occasionally hard but not track style or racing?"

How many miles have anyone seen at the most? And how is the car performing till this day?

dude relax..... hold your horses, dont get your panties ina bunch..
what i meant by 15,000 miles is that alot of owners here dont even drive there cars for 15 k miles before they sell it... sheesh man relax

enjoy your weekend

I'm close to 31k here. Too many people worried about the mileage (for resale value) when they shop for a car, buy the car for yourself, not for the next owner, that's how I see it.

Pierre from Switzerland reached 200.000 km (125.000 mi) earlier this year. I´m guessing he´s at about 230.000 right now. And that car is being driven hard (Swiss mountain passes in snow blizzards anyone?).
Sorry to disappoint you, I now only have 223'000 km.

Bottom line is the car isn't gonna melt if you drive it - 75k moderate driven in Northeast winters and the car just begs for more - you bought it so enjoy it the way it was meant to be enjoyed....by driving the pants off of it...life is short work hard play hard.....

The car is built to last indefinitely with proper maintenance. Porsches really are meant to be kept forever. Mods and hard driving may result in reduced operating hours between overhauls, but everything can be cleaned/replaced/repaired if necessary. There's a statistic that Porsche reminds us of every now and again, that 75% of all Porsches ever produced are still on the roads.

Drive her, and when she needs freshening up, do it.

Congrats!!
On my 01 996 TT I currently have 51,454 miles and had only one major service...I had to change the clutch over 40,000 miles.. It was painful because the labor cost was 3k because they had to remove the engine etc.
My Porsche dealership in NYC is charging 160 per hour. Don't even ask how much I paid for oil change. However, its worth every penny.

I drive my car dailey and sometimes track it...I just love my Turbo and its built like a tank!

Any curve - anywhere drive Porsche
