Suspension upgrades advise plz ..?

Hello there , we have a 996tt 6speed drive ,
Running 2wheel drive !

The car is making 650hp max , we are thinking to remove the front differential to reduce the weight , but we afraid of the wrong weight balance !! So can any body who tried that suggest what we should we do ?? To stay stable in high speed ??

Any advise will be gratefully

Regards
Yousef

you could remove the diff and use a gt2 front bumper and ductwork to increase front downforce and gt2 rear wing to increase rear downfoforce

You will need front downforce for sure. The 996 Turbo starts to feel a little floaty at around 150mph as it is with AWD.

I see no reason to get rid off the awd. If you want a GT2, buy one.

Rear wheel converted with front diff removed. I have a Techart front bumper. Running 850whp and 857 ft lb with no issue at 180mph + in a half mile pull. Nothing to worry about you'll be fine.

It's just a matter of my personal preference, but I can drive my AWD under more control on the track. It just feels perfect to me. The weight reduction will help with straight line acceleration, and I'm guessing it will react like my old 911 and oversteer quite a bit, so remember...Don't let off the gas to hold those lines. I love 911's! Glad to hear someone on here has done what your doing and all is well. Cheers.

Thanks so much for your sweet words , as you said we ran the car for straight line racing only so weight will effect a bit and we care about that

Thanks again

Here you go.

Not sure if the front bumper makes a huge difference with down force, but it works on a car almost double the power your planing on using. I do have an OS Giken LSD and my suspension is fully built(coil overs, control arms, dog bone, drop links, sway, strut, etc). I would recommend lowering the front end from factory setting for sure. Just my 2 cents.
