do auto leveling headlights need "reset"?

Had the lights out during the wrap, but now I notice they point lower than they used to. I hardly ever used my brights and now I do non stop. Can I just adjust them or is there a relearn procedure or something?

Hummm don't see any. But you better check if the small arm on the lever is not broken. The front one is on the right side and the aft on is on the left side…. Also , in the repair manual you can found the instructions for adjustment of the headlights page 43 and 130… Durametric, if your have , has a function to operate the headlight leveling motor for test…..

I don't really get the concept of "Auto-Leveling"... What if you start the car on a hill? Will the lights point into the ground if the car was pointing up hill?

If they did work on the lights, they may have altered the adjustment. Even though they are "auto-leveling", there is an adjustment that you access through the rubber plug in the frunk that lets you fine tune.

the leveling is based on the height of the front of the car vs the height of the rear of the car. if you load the front trunk with a bunch of weight the headlights raise up to compensate. doesn't matter if your on the hill or on the flat

Ahha - That makes sense. I guess you should always get everyone in the car before you turn on the lights!
