996GT2/3 have the better LSD, 40/60-65,
997GT2/3 have the lazy LSD as stated above

My 997 cup unit feels great so far, I have a test and tune on the 14th and I'll report in! Race car is behind the 8ball still so I'll have to drive the turbo 😕

Cup/Motorsport stuff is good, the clutches /ramps are good in those

Guard is supposedly the best, but Cup/M.S. is also very good, AKAIK M.S. is also using some Guard components now

Ok, I stopped by the shop last night. The lsd is actually a Quiafe QDF13Q. So you think it will work with the 996 tranny? He want $500

that part looks larger than the unit spec'd for a 996t. at that price its worth getting even if its just for resale.

I'm gonna bet the only quaife that'll fit even with the flange work is the one quaife says is for the g50. I don't think it's that complicated.
I sure wouldn't knowingly buy the wrong one!?

i would buy it and post it for resale. 850 and it should sell quickly.

again, it looked to me like you just mixed em up. nbd. just call em and tell em you need a tbd for the TURBO which WILL be different from the n/a 996, and you'll be fine.

the link steve gave you as I've said 7 times ( sorry ) is the correct unit.

but f that. you should just buy the wavetrac anyway! lol. its cheaper and you'll notice NO difference. i promise.

johhny, it clearly states "g50" as you can see. but thats too much ambiguity for me when ordering a 1500 part. get them to confirm the qdf2q IS for the TURBO..or the 996 n/a?!..or order a wavertrac for less bread and similar performance. up to you of course. good luck.
