Grussell,

Is your GT2 Midnight Blue?

As you have found out the GT2/3 is very alignment sensitive. It is important to get your car cornerbalanced, as well as the alignment set up. I drove a GT3 set by Lucent and it was excellent.

I have a 2003 GT2 and have cornerbalanced and aligned the car. Your impresession are correct the GT2 is in fact undersprung and over damped. The result is an odd handling car on public roads.

The springs are progressive from the factory and are on the soft side (350/550 lbs progressive springs). The dampers are fairly stiff so you get some pogo on the road as a result. However with the stock set up the GT2 is capable of very high handling limits. So you shouldn't feel like you need to get a new suspension right away. You need to consider what your goals are.

I have Moton Clubsports and stiffer springs (550/800 linear springs with 325lb helper springs) and the car rides better and handles better. This is not a cheap upgrade, but very worthwhile. However the car is stiff and is not a Turbo or a PSS9 car. Good luck with you car and your set up and enjoy the car.

If you are not going to do a lot of track work you may not want to spend that much money. Either way there are improvements to be made to meet you goals, once you know what you want.
