Force-fed 911's will always be desirable. I don't like what the spy shots show either, not really exciting, but I still think Porsche is going to sell plenty of 997TT's (maybe a mixed blessing, in consideration of the resale values we see currently). They have made improvements in all departments of the car, so it certainly will continue the path forged by the current TT as an overall great car. It's not surprising that they stayed close to the looks of the Carrera and CS, same as they've always done. Additionally, with resources being poured into the sedan and significant evolutions of mid-engine offerings lately, it wouldn't make too much sense to throw huge dollars at a dramatically different TT.
With the potential the Cayman has and with the inherent advantages of the mid-engine format, I wonder if it'll be the last or second-to-last 911 line--or perhaps, future 911's will just be larger displacement mid-engine cars? Time will tell.

The 911 will stay a 911 to the end. If they go mid-engine, they´ll balance it really well, call it the 69 and market it as sex on wheels...

Yes Ruf is in business because of Porsche, but the RT12 was designed by Ruf and is a masterpiece for the 997 body and look in my eyes

Very true. I´d like to know what the new RTurbo will bring to the table though. VNT (turbo lag reduction) sounds very tempting.

with some basic options... 150K+ easy.
I think the days of our cars value dropping like dead flies will come to an end soon.
once the 997tt debuts, the demand for used 996TTs will rise and the price will stablize.
Hopefully porsche doesnt make the mistake of producing too many 997TTs....

Yes I know Ruf is in business because of Porsche, but they are not tuners, they are classified as manufacturers. And their designs are much more succesful IMO.... Have you seen the RT12? It's stunning.
