Any 996TT with updating wheels, any good examples

Hi all,

I was looking at a 997 but I like how the 996TT doesn't have the IMS/RMS issue (please correct me if I am wrong).

To me personally the wheels look a bit dated, I was hoping people could point to me some example cars that have more modern looking rims?

As a side note:

Is it true that allot of Porsche enthusiasts don't like the 996TT? (I read this on http://jalopnik.com/here-s-why-the-996-turbo-is-the-best-porsche-911-you-ca-1665776219)

Ya', there's at least three different posts with nothing but wheels and sizes and tires discussed with the one linked above being the latest this month.

996TT more raw more analog, easier to get to 1000 whp

997TT better overall, easier and cheaper to mod to 600-700 whp and the internals and fuel system are better

I have had both and went backwards to a 996 TT... then again I am a !@#$%^&*

Thanks. I went to a PCA Porsche clinic at Rusnak Porsche in T.O. a couple of weeks ago and everyone loved them. The tech's liked the look as well. Hope this helps someone.

Mine may be dated but I think they fit the car. My bike is dated too, @ going on 9 years old. The older I get the, the less I care about fleeting trends. My vehicles, computer and digital cameras, and more have got to the point where replacing them will not necessarily get me anything significantly better.

IMO a simple mesh style wheel really updates the 996TT to a modern look, making the car look at least 5 years newer than it is.

The turbo twists, while classic to the 993/996, definitely look a bit dated now.

Just my $0.02
