Had a new screen fitted today as we picked up a bullet hole at the Ring, always thought it needed changing, well OMG I cant believe the difference. Started getting the car ready for the Supercar weekend at Dunsfold (UK)next week and shes looking good, took some pics before I left tonight.

New screen, made sure it was St Gobain


Changed the rear sunstrip to Grey writing from Orange, also got my 911UK sticker on


All dressed up with nowhere to go !!!

 

Looks GREAT! I got new glass too a couple years ago. I was nursing a chip that turned into a crack.

 

I can't believe how much difference its made to the car, i never realised how bad the old screen was, it must have had 100's if not 1000's of tiny chips.

 

I'm next, just pricing them today matter of fact. pissed i have to replace my porsche decal lol

 

Yeah i had to replace mine as well !!! Make sure you get genuine.....St Gobain is stock fitment. In the UK we have screen insurance so this ended up costing me about $50

 

xlnt point! i got aftermarket and its shyte. will order from suncoast next time same as my turbo script side skirt decals. the aftermakret one was cut straight across so the it didn't follow the curvature of the windscreen! the idiot! lol

 

A good clear windshield makes the whole driving experience better= cant deal with a pitted windshield. Your car looks good.

 

Heard some horror stories from cheap screens and bad fitters, the company I use is the biggest in the UK, the local branch is pretty big with lots of fitters yet they wll only let one fitter actually fit screens in cars like ours, I had to wait a week for him to be available !!!!

 

+1 on new windshields. Got mine replaced a few months back. Its like getting a new car.

can't beat good clear glass! but need to 'reverse' that wiper blade...

 

Which one dude? I bought new blades and the screen guy put em on.

I've still got 2 mini's myself, but dont drive them much.

 

Yup thats a mini pick up, behind that is a Cooper and we have a saloon and a van and another pick-up, all belong to one customer, he bought them all to sell but is keeping the Cooper. Thought you guys may have spotted the Mustang !!!!

 

just the passenger/left side, the 'curve' is the wrong way (should 'point' up/roof not down/hood)
