First car I bought myself (as my Dad was a GMH engineer and brought home lots of cars for me to destroy)

1975 Holden LH Torana 3300 cc (Australia).... it looked like this but with a leather roof !

Bench front seat, auto.... it eventually fell apart at the horse racetrack in Perth and I could not afford to tow it, so the racetrack maintenance guys used to mow the grass around my car... the leather started to peel away on the roof so I used a pink gunk to tie it down... eventually my Air Force mates put the gunk all over the POS.

A 1962 Chevy Nova four door with a 2 speed automatic x-mission. Paid $200.00 and sold it 2 years later for $200.00. The only car that I have owned that did not depreciate.

First car I bought when I was 16 was a 1981 rabbit, a $500 POS to get me around. Got me hooked on the VAG's though. I've owned around 30 of them over the years, lol.
