Which car do you guys think is the better performer? Any stats?

I would still want the 430 over the GT2 .. Hands Down !

 

Really? I thought they would be fairly close given the horse power, weight, and so on. Do you have any hard stats?

I am on the list for the 997tt but considering a possible 430 purchase instead(after the mark-up comes down to reasonable levels!).

Since the 997tt's performance should be improved vs. the 996tt, I thought it may turn out to be comparable to the GT2's performance.

Hence, I was curious as to how the GT2 compares to the F430.

 

The hp for the 997 TT is "supposed" to be around 450. The weight for the awd 997 TT is "supposed" to be around 3550lbs. The Gt2 will out perform both the 997 TT and the F430.

 

You do know that the f430 weighs 3200 lbs, and has 483 hp which almost identical to the gt2, so I think it would come down to driver not car.

That was my feeling, too. Plus, the GT2 has some turbo lag, whereas the F430 would not.

Does anyone know the "Ring" time for both cars?

No. The GT2 was modded, the F430 was not. Atleast this is what I gathered from Jack's post on Ferrarichat.

A stock F430 is quicker than a stock GT2 (Again, according to Jack's post on FC)

 

I believe it just had an exhaust.
