I do this 'cause it's fun and I find it interesting.
The data is for 996TT 6spd Coupes

Reason: Added # listings
i'm curious to know more about the listing for 90k
It may have been a GT2. It's a bot I wrote that pulls the data. The listing will still be included, even if the car has been posted in the wrong place.
There is a GT2 in with the 996TT's right now, but the price is only mentioned in the description, so that listing is ignored by my script.
Looks like the lower mileage ones were bought up which is raising the average.
This is purely a guess but it seems that those were gobbled up pretty quickly leaving only the higher mileage ones at that price point and not many new ones have been added to the market. I wonder if we will see a shift soon in prices since the feeding frenzy for low mileage ones has ended. Will be an interesting year or two.
i love to see charts like this. i have an 03 with 575+rwhp which ( other than a few cosmetic blemishes one might expect from a 996 turbo dirt tracker ) runs immaculately, and yet I'm fairly certain that just being broken in ( at 130k mles ) mine is worth 30 on a good day with the right smart driver/owner.
add that to the price point mix lol. that should bring y'all down to earth a bit.
guys are lookin at summer bounces...and sure. garage examples will sell for 75k+... one day. but then if i had half the cars i'd ever owned? i'd be car rich today! so please.. keep the dream alive fellas.
but then who'd sell a depreciating asset?

I think 30 is a bit low. Or, alot. Lol. 130k means it's in good working order! I've heard of garage queen 30k mile ones that have been complete ****.

I'm really interested to see how these prices progress through the winter. I only started collecting the data in February this year.
The exercise was more a practical way to teach myself how to scrub websites and learn Python, but the outcome is of interest too.
The $78k car is a private seller. No pictures. They state it's a "911 Gambela Bi-turbo, $226,000 invested, 578 horse power" (I wonder how much it cost to import it from Africa...)
That one is definitely an outlier that any statistician would ignore.
There is also a unicorn White @$68K. X50 ~5kmiles. That seller is perhaps being a little ambitious with their pricing

absolutely. it's all about the mileage, all else being equal. which is why i estimate mine to be so "low" in "value". just possibly not to the person that knows what all I've done to it.
