fishercs is infamous around these parts
NADA book values on a 2001 turbo are low 30's. If you finance these cars thats what they go off of for value estimates and most dealerships follow suit because of that reason.

the last two posts re prices are more inline with reality. what someone sold their car for rarely reflect WHOLESALE price. which is (sadly) somewhere near hi 20's low 30's for most. his lower mileage example pushes it up a few grand, but NO porsche dealership that i am aware of wants an 01 tt ( they are just not that "special" ) no matter what shape its in, and on trade!? you'll get your a** handed to you.

Agreed - can't certify it, probably can't get great financing on it, might not be able to get a decent extended warranty on it anymore - lots of reasons why dealers don't want it taking up space unless they buy it very right. I'm guessing they offer you low-mid 20s and they'll act like they are doing you a favor at that.

exactly. porsche dealerships are the last place one wants to sell the car to. they dont want em, don't need 'em, and have room for only the most special ( unique AND low(er) mileage ) examples.

offtopic. it seems we have agreed twice in the last 24 hours! could this be a trend?!! just kiddin

Wouldn't matter what year it is or if its an s etc a dealer is going to break your balz. His car is desirable and I'm sure they would like to have it but they will offer nothing. I personally have only sold one car to a dealer and have sold well over 100 cars= that was a 300z that they wanted and for whatever reason paid very well? Was low miles and clean.

Yeah, can't say I've ever been pleasantly surprised by a dealer's trade offer. Usually I get pissed off and walk away from the deal, even though I know going in how it's going to be. Don't know why it makes me so mad but it does - I take it way too personal. 😜

You usually get a higher offer on trade than selling outright which is what I was referring to. But agree trade in numbers usually hit you in the gut lol.

So what's the lowest it will go?

So somewhat on topic but I have a 2002 996 TT X50 Tiptronic Daily Driver I simply abuse. Bike rack, multiple dings, leather rip on driver bolster, dings on interior. But drives like a champ and mechanically sound. So if I keep driving this, what's the lowest you see a car like this going for as long as running condition?

I'm guessing you'd have to give it away. Too many nice ones for anyone to bother with dings. Sounds like you're enjoying that car though!
