Can anyone recommend a fire extinguisher mount? Would prefer an easy bolt in without having to remove the seat. Also, please specify any shortcomings associated with using a seat mounted fire extinguisher.

 

whats the purpose? road racing drag or looks? some of the half mile events i run allow the f/e to be tie wrapped to the passenger seat belt when its latched. temporary and easy access. floor mounted in the passenger seat looks cool but basically worthless if your harnessed into a seat with a racing harness. if you can get out of the harness you can get out of the car. same for install on the roll bar behind you if you can't reach it while strapped in it doesn't do you any good

I have the Rennline mount, not by choice..it came with the car. It def. is a nice subtle interior touch, I don't think I'd ever use it though...if the cars is on fire I'm getting out and I'll let insurance deal with it.

I would use it to help someone in distress

 

i dunno man.. after many years ago having one 914/6 catch fire on me at a stoplight? i'd probably break mine out in an effort to save a mezger
