Here is the reply from Quaife when I mailed them and asked what torque their ATB diffs are rated to.

"Our ATB diffs are Torsen principal torque biasing diffs.

We don't rate them for power or torque, as you are more likely to break a driveshaft before the diff. That being said, we did have one of our larger differentials tested up to 19,000 Nm!

So I don’t think you'll have any trouble with torque from your car!

Both the QDF7! and 14Q are in stock still."

1395. they keep going up. i paid 1200?

wavetrac is the bomb and guard sells a tbd that is also billet and has to be much the same(?) as the actual w'trac tbd.. different strokes for differential folks otherwise guard surely wouldn't even offer a similar unit. plus as 32 mentioned, a lifetime guarantee is what it is. there's no one here gonna break it. not w proper gear lash spec etc.

also, i have never heard anyone complain or have anything other than praise for the way in which the car is transformed particularly in situations where you need both wheels to have power ( e.g. off camber) about them once installed and it has performed flawlessly for me. also, contrary to some online stuff i have read, they are NOT running open diff under braking, but do lock.

there is no better $1400 part for this car in purely performance terms.

The quaife is around £850 (sterling) and more to the point for me ......local. We have one in my pals 996 at 1000hp and its working just fine but he does not drag it at all. I do feel even an uprated driveshaft would snap before a diff.
