I just dropped the trans for the first time. Was told by the p/o that a gt2 slave conversion was done. It is definitely a non assisted clutch but I do not recognize the mount fixture and it seems strange to me that there is such a large gap between the slave and the mounting flange. Also the rod seems inordinately long. Does anyone recognize the brand or approach to slave conversion and if so are there any concerns about the weather exposure or durability of the slave? Thanks
looks like an evoms setup. since you have the trans out get a gt2 clutch fork gt2 slave line drill and tap the slave for factory gt2 setup and plug the old slave hole with a 1 3/8" cap
That looks like an EVOMS knock off. Ours is much different so I cannot comment on the durability. Our system mounts much closer to the bell housing and utilized a rubber boot to seal the system. Also our hydraulic hose is different

The photo on our site doesn't show the boot or the boot adapter that seals the slave to the bell housing
Thanks for the comments, since trans is out and I have all the parts so think I'll just go with the gt2 tap & drill with a new fork. The one installed is definitely not as well executed as yours!

this is the easiets and most cost effective way to go. you already have the m/c the slave and the trans is out. the p/s pump work is done as well. so a new clutch fork some minor clearancing inside the bellhousing 2 studs and a step bit and drill and your set. shouldnt take more than 1 hr to finish it
the 1 3/8" chrome cap fpr the old slave hole is 3$ at home depot

Thanks for the input, will be doing it this weekend.
We removed the old slave and fixture and did the correct gt2 install with a new slave of the same model to ensure that we had the correct rod (metal & length). To be fair we did this along with a new clutch so not completely apples to apples but the clutch action, engagement point and effort have improved significantly. Also, prior to the change I felt that I was not getting complete disengagement of the clutch and there was tension in the gearbox during quick upshifts. All in all great upgrade and finally done right.
