headlight and turn signal inop; where to start toubleshooting

on my 996 turbo, neither high or low beam or turn signal work on passanger side. driver side light works. passanger side side light also works.
I assume it's not a bulb since there are three separate (at least) bulbs.
so some switch for the side?

how do I start trouble shooting?
thanks

In the tool kit found in the frunk there's a headlight removal tool. On the side the headlight assembly is dead on there should be a plug in the plastic of the frunk, remove it and insert the tool. With a turn the headlight can be removed as a "pod" and I'm betting it simply needs reseating. It's possible that the harness is damaged but I'd do the reseat first. The pod has a plug on the back of it for the whole assembly and it might be corroded or otherwise unhappy.

This will help although it's not for xenon and a little different.

thanks problem resolved. I removed the headlight without pulling of the rubber disk to stick the tool in to move the bar. after the fact I realized that's a pretty good indication connector was loose. connectors didn't seem unhappy or bent or corroded. I put it back in based on the guides on either side; fit nice and snug and the lights now work.
wish all my electrical gremlins were this easy

thanks again.

Did you lock it in with the tool?! If not do so! There's a bar in there that grabs part of the assembly and locks it in place, very important to do so.
